Following
simultaneous launches in Beijing and Berlin, KN Taiwan held
a press conference in Taipei to unveil the new BenQ-Siemens
S88, the first handset launched under the new joint BenQ-Siemens
brand in the Taiwan market.
The
press conference successfully conveyed the new brand and
the new product. To reflect the fusion of Eastern culture
and Western technology, the press conference began with
a performance combining Chinese opera with Western hip hop.
In order to emphasize the handset's four key functions,
each was demonstrated individually and units were available
for experimentation in a product display area.
The
event generated widespread coverage including 11 TV stations
and eight tier-one daily newspapers. The company's new brand
vision and the phone's display technology were mentioned
in nearly all reports. Most important of all, the new brand
image of BenQ-Siemens was firmly established by this event.
